Fox untextured

In an experiment in modelling a K9 i came up with somewhat of a fox, or a wolf, not sure. started with a cube then added subsurf using a mirror modifier. I have yet applied the modifiers for both body and the eyes. If some one can apply a texture and repost I would be very happy to learn how, because I have no idea.
